It is with the deepest sadness that the SAA announces the passing of our dearly beloved friend and member Ruth Rooks.

Ruth was a long standing member of the Swampscott Arts Association and had been the Association's President for many years. She was very active in several Northshore Art Associations and Civic Groups.

She was creative and philanthropic person who will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

Marblehead YMCA Exhibit

The current Swampscott Arts Association art exhibit is up for viewing at the Lynch/van Otterloo YMCA in Marblehead. Partcipating artists include Michelle Amendola, Sheila Farrell Billings, Susan Burgess, Lola Chaisson, @Janet Cook, Larry Dunn, Paula Engman, Glenn Engmann, Karen Hosking, D.L. Kaulbach, Marty Levine, Barbara Naeser, and Ruth Rooks.

This exhibit it will be on display until October 15, 2026.
