An early retirement prompted me to start a new career as an aspiring artist. While taking art lessons, I met Bob Sinclair, an accomplished photographer, who re-animated my interest in photograph. After taking lessons from Bob I quickly learned that it was a lot easier to carry a camera and a tripod than an easel, chair, paints and canvas. Bob introduced me to the world of thirds and composition, how to “create” a scene as opposed to just taking a photograph.

Living in Marblehead has only intensified my passion for outdoor photography. Now I am doing both photography and painting.

I have exhibited in many North Shore and New Hampshire art shows and the winner of several awards. I’m a board member and Secretary of the Swampscott Arts Association, member of the Marblehead Festival of Arts, photographer member of the Marblehead Arts Association, and Salem Art Association. My work can be found at the Little Harbor Art Studios, Marblehead Ma.
